Local Justice Award for Amanda McDonald

I just got back from the Staffordshire Criminal Justice Board Local Justice Awards. I was really pleased to have been awarded the Volunteer of the Year Award for my work with Axis. My team mates at Axis also won an award for an Outstanding Contribution to Tackling Youth Crime. Axis is an amazing organisation which helps to match young people with mentors who work with them to introduce positive behaviours, build their self esteem and prevent them from offending. I’m really proud to be a part of it, and particularly proud of the four young people I have worked with who have gone on to great things!
