Brief: The brief was to refresh and implement the design of the SRBS website. We were briefed to:

  • Update website to make it more responsive as well as reflect SRBS’s values
  • Modernise website whilst marrying with existing branding
  • Include SEO elements and write in responsive code.

Approach: SRBS prides itself on its customer service and its friendly, personable staff. Our account team used our unique Communitography™ tool to identify that these qualities were indeed what attracted new members, and thus our creative team worked around showing the human face of the society. The colour scheme reflected existing branding while the layout was updated to show that, despite having a strong heritage, SRBS was adaptable and current.

Updated on a WordPress CMS framework, which also provides the client with an administration dashboard to log in and edit the site, we sourced appropriate imagery and integrated icons to help visitors to find the information they wanted straight away. Responsive designs were created to work across a variety of devices, with a keen awareness that smartphones and tablets are swiftly overtaking desktop viewing. The website content was copywritten and proofread by Yes and was specifically optimised for search engines, to ensure keywords (including longtail keywords), were used throughout and rich snippets were created for the products offered.

Technical and legal information had to be incorporated into a readable format, with options to ‘log in’ to personal sections and downloadable elements as well. We used the website design as a springboard to update other SRBS marketing collateral too, including web banners, ensuring a cohesive look.
