Running the London Marathon

Well I did it! I ran it in 4 hrs, 16 mins. The sheer number of runners and spectators was overwhelming. It was the warmest London Marathon on record and the heat took its toll on all of us. I felt strong throughout though I could feel that my pace slackened off slightly after 18 miles. The NSPCC support team was fantastic – they looked out for us at the Expo, were there at the start, cheered us along the route and put on a reception party afterwards. Thank you for supporting me I was glad to do my little bit to support them.
