Yes take pride in supporting the Construction Industry
Yes Agency are proud to be a sponsor of the prestigious CITB Pride of Construction Awards
Construction is currently enjoying a boost in the UK, with a ‘surge’ in new work reported at the beginning of autumn. Much of this success is down to the insight provided by Yes Agency client, the Construction Industry Training Board (CITB), which forecasts future skills shortages and proactively offers grants and support for training to help keep the industry prepared. With a further 224,000 jobs predicted in construction during the next five years, there isn’t a better time to celebrate the building trade.
As a marketing and engagement specialist, Yes Agency was delighted to be able to show support for this keystone British industry by sponsoring the Outstanding Strategic Partner award at the CITB Pride of Construction Awards, held on 25 November at the Natural History Museum, London. CITB hosts the annual event to promote the very best construction has to offer, covering the full spectrum of the workforce: from Industry Apprentice of the Year to the Lifetime Achievement
Award.
The event was hosted by well-known comedian and impressionist Alistair McGowan and heralded the superlative talent of construction professionals. Yes Agency Director, David Patrick explains why the company chose to sponsor this particular award:
“As a communications agency, we understand how the construction industry can benefit from supporting trades. Yes is all about making positive connections with the communities that matter to our clients, much as the Strategic Partner nominees are focused on bringing their specialised support to the construction industry. We’re proud to support our client CITB and the Pride of Construction Awards.”
On the night, Steeplejack and Lightning Protection Training Group had the honour of accepting Yes Agency’s sponsored award, having been whittled down from the 200 nominations that were received in total for all categories this year. The tough judging panel included industry expert Damon Schünmann, Associate Editor of Construction News, and Tricia Phillips, Careers Editor at the Daily Mirror. Yes Agency were thrilled to be part of the memorable night, with all the winners helping to secure the foundations of this essential industry.
